We held a family party here in the function room above the pub for about 65 people. It is a great location and a smart venue, the tables were laid and decorated and we had use of the huge balconies and with kind weather this was a real bonus. The Manager Jo and her team were excellent and the buffet food was lovely, everyone was impressed thanks again.

Really nice friendly bar, reasonable menu. Not easy to find with the satnav but unexpected delight to watch some horse show jumping while we were there. Definitely recommend and will return.

Visiting family and wanted to go somewhere different so sister recommended Millstone Hare.Best recommendation ever. Decore lovely and clean, the lady behind the bar was very helpful, smiling all the time. Helped us with wine choice and final recommendation was an excellent Shiraz. The food was served with very little waiting . It was presented lovely and nice and hot. Some had the mushroom starters and others the chicken strips. My mother had childs portion of the roast pork, it was a generous portion my grandson would be loving that . One had the vegetarian lasagne which she said was very tasty and very hot.The rest of us were lucky to have the last remaining turkey roast. Again served looking nice and again very hot. Three large roasties so hubby definitely happy. Had cabbage carrots parsnips and stuffing and a lovely thick tasty gravy and plenty of it.There was so much meat too. Good portions. Sadly no one had room for pudding. It was nice and steady there was no over bearing music ,you could sit and talk. Afterwards we sat by the fire and had coffee, you didn't feel rushed. It will definitely be our go to now every time we come down. Such good value for money, easy parking, great food and customer service. What is there not to like . Seriously hope it gets the footfall it deserves. Use it or lose it!

Good evening overall, the food took far too long to come out. No apology for the delays, if you take a look at your timings you'll see. Steak was lovely and cooked well. Chicken curry was watery, possibly due to too much water left in the rice. Service was spot on and staff very friendly.

Mum had the fish-and-chips a lovely white piece of fish in a crispy butter, and I had the burger. The burger burn was toasted.
